Why we're doing this differently

Most Maldives booking sites are affiliates — they mark up a rate they don't control and never set foot on the islands they're selling. We opened a real office in Malé instead, because the only way to actually get a better rate for travelers is to sit across the table from the resorts themselves.

Where we are right now

  Our Maldives office is operational and is the first step before anything else on this list.

• Travel operating license — in progress

  Required before we can advertise or sell any specific resort. Expected to take a few weeks.

• Wholesale rate agreements — not yet started

  These negotiations begin once the license is in hand — it's the prerequisite resorts need to see before they'll talk rates.

Until then, this site is genuinely useful trip-planning content — written by people who live here, not templated content farmed out at scale. When resorts do go live, they'll only be properties we actually have a direct agreement with.
